Hope is Alive!

Isaiah 41: 10 “Fear not , for I am with you, be not dismayed , for I am your God: I  will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand.”

In this season of uncertainty and change, we want to stop and remember that God,  our Creator, knows the depths of our fears, our doubts, our losses, and our  insecurities. Despite that, He has a divine plan and purpose. As we enter into the upcoming holiday season, let us be renewed with hope as we reflect on His many promises to us.

Hurricane Relief

Samaritan’s Purse and Hurricanes Helene and Milton

Like all fellow Americans, we are devastated by the recent chaos left behind from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. As many of us sit in the comfort of our homes, it is hard to imagine what others are currently living as their greatest nightmare. With over 200 lives lost and many others stranded without power or resources to survive, we can only imagine the heartbreak and sense of loss these residents must feel.

STG Foundation is blessed to be able to partner with Samaritan’s Purse to assist with much needed food and medical supplies, air and water transportation to  access the areas where roads are impassible, and to supply the necessary resources for the amazingly brave and selfless volunteers who are on the ground rebuilding life one day at a time. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with all who were affected.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL

Northern Kentucky

We are incredibly excited to introduce you to our newest partner charity, St. Vincent de Paul! SVDP began in Paris in 1833 when a university student was challenged to meet the needs of the poor in his community. By walking the streets with five of his friends and engaging with people in a personal way, they were able to provide them with food and clothing. Their vision is now implemented in 150 countries with over 1,000 Vincentians.

STG Foundation is proud to partner with the Northern Kentucky chapter to meet the needs of their community by providing clothing, food, spiritual and emotional guidance, and planning with counsel for a chance at a better future through early interventions. On any given day, you can find the Vincentians visiting the homes of their clients providing them with the resources and counsel to prevent future homelessness in a personal and meaningful way.

In their mission, they state, “One can survive without material goods, but when you have lost hope that tomorrow will be better than today, you have lost everything.” We hope that by partnering together, we can continue to provide hope for a better and brighter future to everyone who comes through their doors.

GATHER FOR
THE GIFT
FUNDRAISER

Members of STG Foundation and their families were able to attend the Gather for the Gift annual fundraiser that takes place in Chicago every year. The event hosted 320 guests with the goal of raising  enough funds to sponsor 100 adoptions. With over half of the guests in attendance donating, they were able to raise enough funds to grant 100 families with the financial means to complete their adoptions.

MEET THE DIBBLES!

The Dibble family from Virginia shared with us their story of adopting 12-year-old Christian, who has osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bone disease), a condition also shared by the Dibble’s youngest biological son. Christian would have soon aged out of his care system in Colombia and would have faced a far harsher future. We were all extremely touched by their heartfelt story of becoming a family. There was not a dry in the room when Christian said his favorite thing about Gift of Adoption was that they gave him his brother, who is now his best friend. The Dibbles are just one of thousands of stories of hope and love. Per the Gift of Adoption website, there are currently about 153 million orphaned children across the world (about half of the population of the United States). The need is still great, and we are honored to come alongside Gift of Adoption as we provide hope to as many children and families as we possibly can.

HOPE BRINGS
NEW LIFE

When a mother finds out she is pregnant, she has three choices: abortion, adoption, or parenting. For a new mom who isn’t quite sure how the future will unfold, that decision can be scary and hard to face. Hope Pregnancy Center works alongside expecting mothers to help them make the best choice for them and their baby. When a mother walks into their doors, they are greeted by qualified and experienced staff and given free lab testing, ultrasounds, and informed medical

counsel regardless of race, income, or religion and without judgment.

In the beginning of the year, the center opened their new building to the public. They weren’t sure how everything would unfold at first, but are now settled in their new space and are able to provide simple medical services, counseling, classes, and physical resources to the expecting mothers and babies they serve. We are proud to come alongside them as they continue to grow in their new space, bringing hope and the joy of new life.

You can now designate that your donations on our website be “in honor or recognition” of someone in your life who you feel makes a difference and shares the good in the world. The names of the people who are recognized will be listed in our newsletter each quarter under our awards and recognition page. What better way to honor someone in your life than to continue to pay it forward in their honor!

The winner of our Share the Good award for this quarter is Matthew Minton!

Matt was nominated by his friends from the Newburgh Junior Baseball League, where he serves as commissioner.
Aside from his duties of running the baseball league, Matt is a dedicated husband and father, helps sponsor schools and victims of abuse in Myanmar, and volunteers at Newburgh Buddy Ball.

Matt is a dedicated member of his community, and we are proud to present him with the Share the Good Award! Way to go, Matt!

If you would like to nominate someone for the Share the Good Award, message us on Facebook or email us at [email protected].
